Hi I’m Dr. Brooks Laber the founder of Brooks Chiropractic in Shakopee, MN. I grew up in small town North Dakota, and was probably a big reason why I decided to open my practice in Shakopee, it has the same small town feel that I love. I got into chiropractic as an athlete in high school, after injuring my lower back my local chiropractor was able to get me back in the game without any issues in less than a week. I continued to utilize chiropractic throughout my college career as well as now when I complain about tweaking my back trying to swing a golf club. I have the same philosophy in my practice, get people better as fast as I can with no pressure, and no long term commitments.
My practice philosophy revolves around getting people feeling better as fast as I can. I mainly use diversified adjusting, but also some drop piece, as well as activator when the need arises. I also know that not that there is no single treatment approach that is right for everyone, and so I have been trained in a variety of modalities to compliment Chiropractic that include:
- Flexion Distraction
- Traction/Decompression
- Active release technique
- Ultrasound, electric muscle stim
- Nutrition Certificate from NWHSU
- First Line Therapy
- Cold Laser Therapy- Low Laser Therapy
Education:
- Doctor of Chiropractic, Northwestern Health Science University
- Bachelor of Science, University of Mary
Member of:
- Minnesota Chiropractic Association
- Shakopee Lions Club
In my spare time I like hanging out at home with my wife Dr. Angie, and my kids Logan, Ethan, and Camry. I enjoy golfing as often as I can :), fishing, hunting, grilling out with friends, and volunteering with the Shakopee Lions. I also tend to get hooked on TV shows like Game of Thrones, and Walking Dead 🙂 I continue to love learning new things, and enjoying broadening my horizon with books, and continuing education.
